History
The Paragon Foundation of Palm Beach County, Inc. (Paragon) was
incorporated as a Florida nonprofit corporation with the Florida
Division of Corporations on May 10, 2006. The Paragon Foundation
provides economic development investments including an equity investment
program, economic development grants, scholarships, and training.
Additionally, Paragon facilitates Black business participation in the
regional biotech sector and promotes urban redevelopment of Palm Beach
County’s black communities. The foundation was created to ensure a more
balanced and representative playing field for minority businesses and
enhance the ability of minority businesses to compete in an increasingly
crowded economic sector.
The Foundation has adopted a plan for sustainability that complements
existing donor sources and maximizes opportunities to pursue new
funding. Additional sources of funding - to finance operations, programs
and services - will include funding from individuals, corporate donors,
economic development grants, foundations and contributions.
